ok, 11 am, on aug 14.
Today, I'm writing a synopsis for the software for sending over to Intel.
good!
Ok okj! 12 pm and nothing done!
Visualisation is on.... Im working at it!
Visualisation is on.... Im working at it!
Alright, its 4.30 pm of august 13. The last 5.5 hours were of meditative thinking about the project, and also some file-organization on my computer, and other miscellaneous things at hand. Within the time-period, this is the list of ideas that has evolved. I'm stopping the process right here.
Congratulations to me! Phase 1 is over. It was an initial warmup for the bigger things to come my way, and I am more excited to go on with the project now.
Now that I have the ideas, I have the goal. Now the construction begins. It starts with Phase 2: prototype of the application on paper.
paper? why prototype? the answer is simple. Nothing in this world is possible without paperwork - not even toilet! you know what I mean?
Anyways, now I should get to the heart of the problem, and make a solution that will change the life of the small office worker forever.
In the cheap-cloned words of Julius Caesar (or whoever else said this) :
"I Came, I Programmed, and I Conquered!"
Phase 2 is the hard facts and the practicals of programming.
It's divided in these steps:
+ Firstly, make an ideal prototype, i.e. interface diagrams, working, etc.
+ Secondly, look for the tools to develop the project, and determine the steps involved in production.
+ Thirdly, start off with the production.
Best of Luck to me!
Thank God I have some good work to do.
I submit my work to the feet of my lord - shri Sai.
The last phase was not so good, and I really gotta do it better now.

Alright. It's today - 13 august - 11 am.
Today is supposed to be the starting of my project, and in the next few hours, I hope to make a concrete plan for the software, so that I have the basis of what to do, and I have an aim to work for. I'm currently collecting my ideas, and looking for more ideas. Once the idea process is done, I'm off for the project. The ideas I currently have:
- The software shall handle all the documents created in the system, and makes a list,(auto back-up), which has all the information regarding every document. The list shall be in a database like format, and should be indexed for searching and different views.
- The software shall be able to categorise documents based on project/date/subject, etc.
- The software shall be easy to get used to
- The software should collect only sufficiently useful info from the user.
- The software should have document archival capabilities
-
Om.
This is the Pundit IDMS project. Pundit IDMS - Intelligent Document Management System.
Intelligent, because it has features to manage your docs the way you never believed it could.
This blog, is a project report of the Document Management system. On the last day of my project,
I'll tear it all down into the documentation.
Let's lay out a plan for the project based on our timeline.
First, I list the tasks:
- making an aim for the software - - deciding on the features of the software. collect all ideas. brainstorm session. 4 hours
- predicting the ways to implement the software - 1 hour
- Collecting all necessary software tools to do the job. - 3 hour
- After a quick look at the documentation for the creation tools, a plan for the construction, 8 hours + 2 hours
- and a prototype for the app. 6 hours
- begin the construction full swing. 20 hours
- debug at each step
- once construction done, debug once again -5 hours
- improve - 15 hours
- documentation according to intel standards 7 hours
that's that. It seems fairly easy to imagine. if not taken in steps, it looks like a giant too big to hit.
If taken in steps, it looks like a giant too big to miss while hitting!
best of luck to myself on the project.
I Submit all my work in all humility to the feet of the great Sai Baba of Shirdi, who is the real force behind me.
I seek Baba's wishes and help in this project. I know that its impossible for me to do anything in this world
without him. In a very true sense, my only Project guide in this project is the Sai Baba of Shirdi.
*athiests - please note that the God that I refer to here is symbolic of one's own conscience.
Bow to shri Sai - peace be to all.
